Wii+5 year old boy=love?

my son's 5th birthday is next friday. my husband and i want to get him a wii. my ex husband and his fiance have one at their house and my son loves playing it there. my question is before i go spend $300 on the system and a game or two, are there going to be age appropriate games for him? he is very smart but i'm still curious. also my husband is deployed right now and i'm a klutz...will it be easy to set up?
