What if private seller misrepresented condition of car and sold over state lines?
Car was put on ebay, I had him have a mechanic send me a report (checked out), auction ended on ebay and didn't sell but the description said mint condition etc, he sent me additional pictures of things I asked for before the sale, I wired the money and he sent title and bill of sale, car arrived at the house on shipping truck and was anything but mint condition and seller also took out floormats, radio etc that were all supposed to be part of the sale. Also the title was in his mothers name and the money was wired to his account (son) and the bill of sale is filled out and signed by him (son) and not his mother. Car was bought outside of ebay, but I have email, text and ebay messages with conversation about the car and everything that he stated to be true and correct about the car. I also have copy of his drivers license. According to what I have researched, the bill of sale and title must match all information and have same signatures in order to be considered a "valid" sale of the vehicle. Will this loophole help me get my money back from this guy? Car was located in NJ and was shipped to GA. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
