Do you know anyone who has ever suffered from HELLP syndrome?

I had HELP syndrome with my first pregnancy. My son was born one month premature. (I was induced because of the HELP syndrome.) It was a scary labor/delivery and my son spent one week in the nicu, but he is now 7 and he and I are both fine, no lasting effects. I had no problems whatsoever in my second pregnancy, and we are now trying for a third. I am so sorry for your friend. I have never known anyone to die from this.
